This LC UPC to LC UPC Simplex OM5 Fiber Optic Patch Cable uses 50/125μm wideband multimode glass fiber designed for wavelength-division-multiplexed operation across the 850–953nm range. OM5 maintains compatibility with conventional short-wavelength multimode applications while providing additional wavelength capability for compatible SWDM systems.
The simplex construction contains one optical fiber, making it suitable for single-fiber transmission paths, monitoring connections, laboratory systems and specialized optical equipment. Precision zirconia ferrules provide stable alignment, while the 2.0mm PVC OFNR jacket supports flexible indoor riser installation. The required transceiver topology should be confirmed before specifying simplex cable for a communications link.
