This CAT6A cable features a standard 24AWG UTP construction designed to deliver reliable 10Gbps network connectivity. Unlike Slim CAT6A cables, it is not designed primarily to minimize cable diameter. Instead, its thicker conductors provide greater electrical and mechanical performance margins, improved structural durability, and better suitability for PoE applications.
The standard-diameter cable is paired with overmolded connectors and snagless boots for enhanced strain relief and RJ45 latch protection. This makes it well suited for longer cable runs, frequently maintained networks, and connections to PoE-powered devices. The thicker conductors can also provide better thermal performance in high-power PoE installations and large cable bundles. Actual PoE capability should be verified according to cable length, bundle size, installation conditions, and relevant test reports.
Recommended applications include 10G switches, NAS systems, servers, high-performance workstations, Wi-Fi 6/7 access points, and enterprise network upgrades. Customers who prioritize long-term reliability and PoE performance should choose the 24AWG version, while the 28AWG Slim model is better suited to high-density cabinets where space is limited.
