Elike Unveils New HDMI 2.2 Engineering Products at CEDIA Expo 2026

Ultra96 HDMI Cable

In September 2026, Elike attended CEDIA Expo 2026 in Denver with its latest high-speed audio and video connectivity products. The company presented recent research and development work in HDMI 2.2, 96Gbps copper cables, active optical cables, and custom AV interconnect solutions to a global professional audience.

CEDIA Expo is one of North America’s leading events for smart home, home theater, and professional AV integration. This year’s show brought together Crestron, Sony, Samsung, Savant, AVPro, AudioQuest, and other established brands, highlighting developments in premium displays, AV control, AV over IP, smart home technology, and high-speed connectivity. As displays advance toward higher resolutions, refresh rates, and color depths, the reliable transmission of increasingly data-intensive AV signals became a central topic on the show floor.

HDMI 2.2 Moves Into Certification and Product Deployment

CEDIA Expo 2026 coincided with an important stage in HDMI 2.2’s transition from a technical specification to product certification and volume production. On September 1, 2026, certification testing officially opened for the Ultra96 HDMI® Cable, also known as the HDMI Category 4 Cable, establishing a unified basis for next-generation HDMI cable development, performance validation, and compliant mass production.

Elike Presents a New HDMI 2.2 Product Developed for Ultra96 Certification

At CEDIA Expo, Elike highlighted a new generation of high-speed HDMI products developed for the HDMI 2.2 specification and Ultra96 certification framework. The new product is more than a minor update to an existing HDMI 2.1 cable. Its cable structure, conductor specifications, insulation materials, shielding system, connectors, and manufacturing processes have all been reconsidered for 96Gbps signal transmission.

Elike has long focused on the development and manufacture of HDMI, DisplayPort, USB, DVI, fiber-optic transmission, and industrial connectivity products. Backed by Shenzhen Euroway Technology Co., Ltd., the brand draws on an integrated manufacturing system that covers product design, PCB and optoelectronic module development, automated SMT assembly, cable production, connector assembly, signal testing, and OEM and ODM customization. These in-house capabilities allow Elike to evaluate materials, structures, electronic components, and production processes in relation to high-speed signal behavior and each customer’s real-world application.

Show Floor Discussions Focus on Real World Performance

Elike’s new HDMI 2.2 product attracted interest from professional AV customers and system integrators. Discussions went beyond whether a cable could reach 96Gbps. Visitors wanted to know whether performance would remain stable at different lengths, whether the product could withstand the installation demands of home theaters, gaming displays, commercial video walls, conference systems, and professional AV projects, and whether it would maintain reliable compatibility with displays, AV receivers, matrix switchers, and signal-processing equipment.

This feedback closely reflects Elike’s product-development approach. A high-speed HDMI cable for professional installations must deliver strong laboratory test results while also providing dependable connector construction, practical cable diameter and flexibility, low electromagnetic interference, and stable long-term operation. For OEM and ODM programs, the product may also need to be adapted to the installation space, transmission distance, jacket material, connector orientation, and customer’s branding requirements.

Engineering and Manufacturing for the Next Generation of AV Connectivity

CEDIA Expo 2026 gave Elike an opportunity to present its HDMI 2.2 development work and gain a clearer understanding of the North American professional AV market. Conversations with system integrators, equipment manufacturers, and distribution partners confirmed that next-generation connectivity will be judged by a combination of engineering validation, manufacturing precision, product certification, compatibility testing, and consistent volume delivery rather than by any single specification.
